If you’ve known me a while, you know I’m not new to blogging. In fact, I started back on May 31, 2012. I had just gotten married and found myself incredibly bored after going full speed spending all my free time planning a wedding and honeymoon to an abrupt stop.

As a person with ADHD, I couldn’t just sit around after “doing the most” so I started taking on new hobbies. One thing I realized when getting married was that I had no idea how to do my own makeup nor nails… I became obsessed with beauty YouTube. In doing so, I started my blogging and YouTube journey called FromBrainsToBeauty; capturing the journey of a confused, nerdy engineer into someone teaching others about makeup and nail techniques as well as product sharing. Blog no longer exists but the YouTube videos are still out there, even my tiny VlogWithErica channel.

Over time, and the addition of kids, my hobbies shifted. Nails > Makeup > Vlogging > Planners > Etsy Shop > Mom Crafts (e.g., crochet, sewing, HTV, cake decorating). Time, energy, momming, and re-focusing on my career made me shift away from social media.

However, travel has become a big part of our lives. Both for work and for fun. Before we moved, my personal way to decompress from an insane work and travel schedule was going to theme parks with the family. Sadly, with my career, we’ve moved away from the parks of Central Florida (tears). Regardless, this just means more travel and another hobby/venue to share. So come with me as we ramp back up and start sharing all the new (and old) hobbies from this engineering ADHD crafting momma!
